Ron Black emailed me offline and suggested that I describe in more detail the "pilot operator's handbook". Great idea actually. I have been living and breathing these manuals for the past few years....getting ready for the sport pilot certifications...so sometimes take for granted that everyone is up to speed with terminology.
I find that most times when one of our owners wants a manual, they want the "assembly" manual that is specific to their ppc. If you provide Dan with the information on your year and model we have some of those available in the archives.
The "pilot operator's handbook and training supplement" is not an assembly, nor maintenance manual. This is a manual that is specifically required under the new ASTM standards for light sport aircraft certification. The core focus on the manual is how to "operate" a powered parachute. For that we believe that it is very useful...particularly for those who are just starting in the sport. We have written with enough generality that it works well for those flying virtually any model of Six Chuter (though you will find only the Legend LSA models referred to). This manual comes as a part of the documentation on all new Six Chuters. Because we have three years worth of "blood, sweat and tears" into it we are charging a nonminal fee of $24.95 to receive this on CD. If you are interested in it just drop me an email at
sixchuterinfo@comcast.net
We should also have this available for purchase on line from the website in the near future. Ron...thnx for the suggestion.
