Which Model to choose??

The model Six Chuter that you choose and the method you select for
assembly and certification should depend on how you intend to fly, the conditions and locations you choose to fly in and your level of skill in flying and maintenance.  Take the time to discuss these factors with an authorized Six Chuter representative before you buy.

If you intend to fly primarily solo and want to avoid the legal training
requirements of Sport Pilot then the SP 103 is the model for you. If you fly with combined passenger and pilot weights 400 pounds or under and from relatively normal fields at lower density altitudes the Legend SE equipped with the Rotax 503 will serve you well. Our Legend DE is a very cost-effective and high performing model for those who require the more powerful 65 h.p. Rotax 582 engine. The Legend XL with Rotax 582 E Gear Box, Electric Start has been our most popular selling model.  The Legend XL4s provide four- stroke engine dependability and incredible economy.  And the Legend XT SSDC (Side-by-Side Dual Control) is our SLSA model targeted for Certified Flight Instructors and others who enjoy the training environment provided with a side-by-side seating configuration.

Our standard kits are sub-assembled at the Six Chuter factory for economical shipping anywhere in the world.  The average builder can assemble these units in 40-60 hours.  You can purchase a sub-assembled kit and have it inspected and certified as an Experimental Light Sport Aircraft.  The SLSA of course will be assembled, tested and certified at the factory before it is sold.  Six Chuter will also offer our XT ssdc and other models as either SLSA or
ELSA kits.

Our flight center managers and sales representatives can help introduce you to these various models, provide assembly assistance, training and ongoing support regardless of the model that you choose.  Take the time to read about each of our models then go to the slide show links to view some of these in action.

Although today is not regarded as one of our favorites (thanks to Uncle Sam), this day also marks another anniversary for Six Chuter Inc. Today is our 18th anniversary in business.

These of course are not the best of times as we all continue to struggle with adapting to this new environment. But over the years there have been many more good times to compliment those that weren't so good. As some of you who know me well, I am not one to seek attention for any achievement.

But, for me personally, each year marks time and adds value to the accomplishment of surviving in this sport where others have not. And in a large way in all these years Six Chuter has successfully maintained our credo of integrity and honesty.......where others have not. These are worthy achievements and enough to satisfy.

As I sat and pondered writing this letter last night it gave me an opportunity to do my own reminiscing. Unfortunately during this time I have aged as well and total history regretfully escapes me. Nonetheless, our successes and even some failures wrap around me like a warm blanket. As I have told some, I have few regrets over these past 18 years, the most prevalent being that my parents did not live long enough to see or enjoy these things that I have. Even at that I have made so many friends and even some enemies, all of which I cherish because without you and them the sum total of this journey would be less and so would I.

Just yesterday I spoke with the proud, new owner of a used 1993 Sky Ryder. He was simply giddy about not just being in the sport, but that he owned a Six Chuter, a long time dream come true for him. As we spoke about the unit he told me of his research before purchasing and the positive comments from other ppc owners about Six Chuter; about how he could depend on our company to be here for him; and of course glowingly about a 15 year old unit now in his possession. How can I not feel privileged to be here?

This has been a good ride.
