Six Chuter Announces: Light Sport Certification on the Legend XT SSDC....

SIX CHUTER SLSA AND ELSA MODELS

The Six Chuter Legend XT ssdc was successfully certified as a Special Light Sport aircraft in October 2007.  In January the Legend XL and the Legend P103 also achieved SLSA certification.  This puts Six Chuter in a unique position of being able to offer our entire "fleet" in either factory assembled complete SLSAs or in ELSA manufacturer kits.  Download the Six Chuter 2008 Product Catalogue for more information on each of our models.

SIX CHUTER LEGEND P103 UL MAIDEN FLIGHTS

Joe Fenstermacher, Six Chuter Flight Center Manager, and owner of Quaker State Powered Parachutes LLC completed the maiden flight of the Legend P103 May 13th, 2008 in Honeybook, PA.  Joe's P103 is the standard entrance level ultralight model equipped with the Kawasaki 440 engine and flying under the Performance Designs Barnstormer 360 canopy.  Joe reported for owners to expect a high speed takeoff run with the smaller canopy.  One of the nice things, according to Joe, is that this model weighs in at 252.5 lbs. even with an electric start!  The TBO on the Kawasaki is 500 Hrs. The model flown by Joe was the 40 h.p. version but this engine is also available with a 46 h.p version.

Rolando Santiago, Six Chuter Flight Center Manager in Vancouver, WA flight tested the P103UL equipped with the Rotax 503 DCDI engine and a 400 square ft canopy.  Likewise, Santiago described the Legend as a fun, easy to fly, and awesome performing single seater.

Six Chuter offers a full range of single seat Legends from these UL models to a fully factory assembled and test flown SLSA that can be used legally as a rental and for sport pilot training.

For more information on any of the Six Chuter models we recommend that you contact the Flight Center Manager closest to you. (See listing below).
